As licensed Naturopathic Physicians (NDs), we:

    • Diagnose, treat, and prevent disease
    • Order labs, blood work, imaging
    • Work within the health care system as a natural, minimal-intervention  doctor
    • Work in conjunction with MDs, DOs, DCs, APRNs, RNs, etc.
    • Treat many of the same issues for which one typically seeks MD care

However, We Do It Differently.

Conventional medicine often does external work, rather than working from within.  Physiology is frequently overridden with medications or surgery before exhausting other options. I truly believe the body has the ability to heal itself.  Therefore, the goal of my recommendations is  to support and encourage physiology through nutrition, lifestyle recommendations, homeopathy, herbs, etc.  We begin with the gentlest approach, and then pursue more invasive treatments, if needed.

When Would I Go to See an ND?
    • Anytime
    • For general well care and preventive care
    • For acute issues - colds and flus, nausea or vomiting, sinus or urinary tract infections, or when preparing for/ recovering from surgery
    • For chronic issues - heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, or obesity
    • For prevention - minimize stroke, cardiovascular disease, or cancer risks
    • To decrease toxicity, increase nutritional status, and increase overall wellbeing

What Is Considered When Designing a Treatment Plan?

    1. Each treatment plan discusses the individual patient's lifestyle and diet.  The plan is created to encourage the prevention of illness by strengthening and supporting the body's natural intelligence and removing obstacles to the patient's well being.  We look at the whole person – mind, body, and spirit.
    2. Obstacles to be removed – toxins, bad habits, constipation, dehydration, irritations, sensitivities,…
    3. Needs to be fulfilled  – nutrition, water, breath, love
    4. Tendencies to consider – to proactively prevent possible future illnesses
    5. Natural medicines, remedies available to be prescribed
